Eczema Update

Back in May, Lincoln was still having trouble with his eczema so my mom suggested taking him to The Salt Room.  I had never heard of it, but after reading into it I saw no harm in taking him in.  It is mainly for people with respiratory problems, but has been known to help with eczema and other skin issues too.  It is just a small room that is covered in salt.  The floor is like a beach, but instead of sand, it's salt!  The walls are coated in salt.  There are a few lounge chairs in there and a video of Hawaii plays while you relax.  There were beach toys for Lincoln to play with.  Salt is pumped into the air while you're in there so the man gave us a flashlight to play with and shine on the salt in the air for fun.  I think it was 45 min. and Lincoln did great the whole time.  He didn't want to get off my lap most of the time, but right before it was time to go he started playing with the toys.

I don't know if the Salt Room helped much, but it didn't hurt.  Over the summer, though, his skin has gotten SO much better!  I believe he is just outgrowing his allergies or his eczema because nothing else has changed. Here he is in June with just a little red on his cheeks:By July he was looking pretty good and he still is!I am one happy momma to have a happy boy who isn't so itchy all the time anymore!
